Khalid Ahmed is a senior journalist and renowned intellectual. He is the Director of South Asian Media School at SAFMA.

Anatol Lieven has a BA in history and a PhD in political science from the University of Cambridge. From 1986 to 1998 he worked as a British journalist, mainly in the former Soviet Union and South Asia. In recent years Anatol Lieven has worked chiefly on aspects of the “war on terror”, including contemporary US global strategy and its background in US history and political culture.

Dr. Peter Neumann is the Director of the International Centre for the Study of Radicalisation and Political Violence. Prior to this appointment, he was Director of the Centre for Defence Studies (2005-2007) at King's College London, and Content Director of the International Summit on Democracy, Terrorism and Security (2004-2005) organized by the Club de Madrid, the association of former Presidents and Prime Ministers. Dr. Neumann is author of the recently published Old and New Terrorism (Polity 2009). He is co-author of The Strategy of Terrorism (Routledge 2008).

Rubina Saigol is currently an independent researcher. She has authored and edited several books and papers in English and Urdu on nationalism, the state, ethnicity, religious radicalism, terrorism, education, feminism and human rights. Some of her publications include Knowledge and Identity, Symbolic Violence, Locating the Self; Social Sciences in the 1990s; A Critical Appraisal of the Human Rights Movement; Women and Resistance; Engendering the Nation-state; Aspects of Women and Development; Deconstructing Terrorism: Discourse and Death in Pakistan; Militarization, Nation and Gender; Talibanization of Pakistan.

Catarina Kinnvall is associate professor of political science at Lund University, Sweden. Her research is centered on issues of globalization, religion, nationalism and identity conflicts. She is the author of a number of books and articles. She serves as vice president of the International Society of Political Psychology.

Associate Professor Adam Dolnik is the Director of Research Programs at the Centre for Transnational Crime Prevention (CTCP), University of Wollongong, Australia. Dolnik’s books include Understanding Terrorist Innovation: Technologies, Tactics, and Global Trends and Negotiating Hostage Crises with the New Terrorists.
